What is Hommie Decor?
We make decorative candle holders that work as sculpture when they're not lit. Every holder ships with three signature candles, and refills come in sets of three.
Does every holder come with candles?
Yes. Every holder ships with a three-candle set. Choose one scent or the Mix Pack to get one of each.
What are the holders made of?
Made of ASA, a UV-stable thermoplastic used for exterior automotive trim. It won't yellow, warp, or become brittle in a sunny window. Each base is filled with a sand-and-clay core, weighted by hand and permanently sealed, so the piece sits with the density of a solid object. Filled, finished, and packed by hand in Los Angeles.
What sizes are they?
Smart Hommie is 9.0 × 6.1 × 2.5 inches. Golf Hommie is a 4.5-inch sphere. Motor Hommie is 13.5 inches long and 5.5 inches wide. Each holds one 6 oz candle.
What's the wax?
A premium coconut-soy blend — clean-burning, non-toxic, and better at holding fragrance than straight soy. Every candle is 6 oz.
What do the scents smell like?
Front 9 is spearmint and oakmoss, woody and grass-inspired. Nonchalant is mandarin and dark amber, our signature. Safe Bet is bergamot and fig, green and Mediterranean.
Why can my neighbors smell them?
Our scents are built to fill a home, not a single room. Bold fragrances, designed for everyone in the house to enjoy.
Will any candle fit a Hommie holder?
Each holder is built for a 3.1-inch vessel, the size of our candles. Other brands may not fit. Never force a candle into a holder that doesn't seat easily.
Do you sell single candles?
No. Candles come in sets of three.
Is it safe to burn a candle in a holder?
Yes. Your candle burns inside its own glass vessel, which sits in the holder — the flame never contacts the holder. Trim the wick to ¼ inch, never burn more than four hours at a time, and never leave a lit candle unattended.
How do I clean out leftover wax?
Coconut wax has a low melting point, so it releases easily. Wash with warm soapy water, or put the vessel in the freezer for an hour and pop the hardened wax out.
What does "Utility Deco" mean?
